Background

Rufus was born and raised in Stellenbosch and matriculated from Paul Roos Gymnasium in 2017. He completed his BCom LLB degree at Stellenbosch University in 2022, followed by a Master’s degree in Commercial Law at the University of Cape Town in 2023. Rufus joined Bisset Boehmke McBlain as a candidate attorney in 2024 and successfully completed his articles at the end of 2025. He now continues at the firm as an Associate in the Commercial Law Department, focusing on corporate and commercial matters.

• Postgraduate LLM (Commercial Law) (Cum Laude) – University of Cape Town

Did You Know?

Rufus enjoys almost all types of sport, especially team sports.  He plays golf, tennis and touch rugby.   Furthermore, being outdoors with friends and family is also a favourite, especially when combining it with hunting, hiking or certain types of endurance sports.  He also enjoys reading when he finds time.
